Trzciągowska Valley

The Trzciągowska Valley, cutting across the Wolin terminal moraine, remains to this day the most mysterious landform on Wolin Island. There are only more or less justified assumptions. One of them assumes that it is a glacial trough shaped by the erosive activity of subglacial waters. According to the second conception, the Trzciągowska Valley is a form shaped by ice erosion caused by the ejection of a small secondary ice tongue from the large glacial lobe of the Oder River. The northern part of the valley houses a documentation site called "Old Chalk Mine".
